A month before the US Open, we met Robert Cash and JJ Tracy at Goodwin’s HQ in Columbus. They weren’t showing off or carrying a chip on their shoulder after their strong run at Ohio State. Instead, they came in humble, grounded in hard work.

Now, they’re in the semifinals in the US Open and not because they stormed in as number one, but because they showed up every single day with big dreams, big goals, and a willingness to grind for each point.

Their story isn’t flashy. These are two young men built on true grit and years of discipline. At Ohio State, Cash and Tracy built their rhythm through long practices and big matches, learning how to win side by side because after all, teamwork makes the dream work. And that’s exactly the attitude we live at Goodwin.

This year, Cash pressed pause on medical school to chase this moment with Tracy. As he said, “I was ready for medical school, but one point changed everything.” Sometimes, that’s all it takes to set your sights on going all the way and at Goodwin, our journey isn’t so different. We began solving problems for just a few brokers and grew into a platform that saves time and lets them focus on what they do best. Like Cash and Tracy, it started with one point and grew into something bigger.

The Cash and Tracy story isn’t just a story we cheer for, it feels very similar to our own. We were founded in Columbus, too and like Cash and Tracy, we didn’t set out to be the loudest. We set out to stay disciplined, stay precise, trust the team around us, and go after wins the right way.

Our motto has always been simple: Do Good. Have Fun. Get Wins. Right now, that spirit is alive in Cash and Tracy as they fight in the semifinals to win the Grand Slam!

They’re showing what happens when teamwork, resilience, and grit collide with opportunity. That’s a story worth celebrating.

Let’s go get that win.
